Guys and Dolls, Jr. 2012 - Camarillo

6PM READ-THRU/ORIENTATION MEETING: June 16, 10AM. Parents Please Plan To Attend.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE: Mondays through Thursdays beginning July 9th. See below. Rehearsals don’t begin until the week of July 9 and are Mondays through Thursdays 9AM to 12PM through August 10, then we switch to afternoon rehearsals 4PM to 7PM from August 13 – 31 and September 3 – 6 which is our Tech Week. We may possibly rehearse on one or more of the evenings of Tech Week instead of afternoons, but that will be determined later. You will be notified ASAP. Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal and there will be accommodations made throughout the rehearsal process for family vacations and conflicts, however, THERE WILL BE NO CONFLICTS ALLOWED FOR TECH WEEK and EVERYONE will be called.

PERFORMANCES: September 7-16, 2012, Fridays and Saturdays at 7PM and Sundays at 2PM. Call times for performances are 5:30 and 12:30.

Who can participate? Guys and Dolls, Jr. is open to serious performers, experienced and inexperienced, between the ages of 8 and 18. Younger and older actors may be accepted pending directors’ and licensing company approval.

What else do I need to know for Auditions?
■Please prepare one (1) minute of classical musical theater song in similar style or from the show. Bring sheet music in correct key. Instrumental CDs will be allowed.
■Prepare to do a cold reading from the script. Sides will be provided.
■Wear/Bring comfortable clothing and appropriate shoes for dance.
■Bring headshot and/or resume if you have them.
■Bring your calendar/know your and your family schedule in order to record your conflicts.

COST: $250 for each actor which includes all materials, costumes, and 20 tickets at $10 each for you to use or sell at your discretion. The libretto, practice CD, and costume will be yours to keep.

PARENTS: There will be ample opportunities for you to participate in your child(ren)’s experience. Theater can be a fun family feat! We will need parents and/or other caring adults to help wrangle children, work in the snack bar, take tickets, help with costumes, props, set, tech, etc. Be thinking about what you would like to offer in the way of your talents to our production, we look forward to meeting and working with you!
