SIMI VALLEY: “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”
Actors’ Repertory Theatre of Simi (A.R.T.S.) is casting Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the story of an eccentric inventor, his two children and their magical car based on the classic MGM Movie with music by The Sherman Brothers. Jan Glasband, prod; David Daniels, dir.; Matthew Park, music dir.; Becky Castells, choreo. Rehearsals start Oct 2. Performances run Nov 19 – Dec 23 at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center.

Jemima Potts 9-11, daughter of Cractacus
Grandpa Potts 55-76, a former war hero
Truly Scrumptious, 25-35, soprano, daughter of Lord Scrumptious and a whiz at mechanics
Childcatcher 30-60, creepy, makes sure Vulgaria is child free
Baron Bomburst 35-60, Baritone, Tyrannical ruler of Vulgaria
Baroness Bomburst 35-60, head of the Vulgarian Parliament, hater of children
Boris 25-60, Baritone, Vulgarian Spy
Goren 25-60 Baritone, Vulgarian Spy
Toymaker 40-65, kind personal toymaker to the Baron

Auditions will be held by appt. only Sep 5 & 6 at 7-10 p.m. at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, 3050 Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley. Prepare 16 bars of a similar genre, and bring sheet music.
